What type of legal agreement should I use?
- This was the template which we had during the running of the company: https://tally.so/r/3y4R1p Feel free to edit the fields yourself and enter into the agreement between yourself and the guest if you find one. Remember not to sign that actual link but draft it yourself on paper and have it signed. And homees is not responsible for any legal issues arising with the agreement.
How can I increase the chances of my listing succeeding?
- Based on our experience and findings running the company for the past 1.5 years, there’s a few things we recommend you do to improve the chances. Beyond those listed below, sometimes it’s just a matter of luck or time of year. There’s usually an oversupply of homees mid-year in Aus and an undersupply at end of year, with a lot more guests during the later months. We recommend:
- Having high quality images
- Putting the picture of your living room first, not bedroom or toilet
- Setting a reasonable price. Rather than trying to turn a profit, just try to cover your rent.
- Price drops always help.
- A bigger deposit is less appealing to guests than a bigger deposit.
Why has my listing disappeared from the site?
- We now hide listings where the start date is greater than today, to keep the listings on the site fresh. So if your dates are 30/05 to 05/06 and today is 01/06, it will be hidden by default.
Why hasn’t anyone messaged me on Instagram yet?
- Make sure your Instagram handle is correct, and check your message requests on Instagram. Instagram often sends new messages from people you don't follow to message requests which are hidden by default.
